Power Tools Workshop

  • Lake Claire Community Land Trust 270 Arizona Avenue NE Atlanta, GA, 30307 United States (map)

“After helping someone with a project, I realized that a good number of people would like to use power tools, but are not comfortable with, and know little about their various accessories and options” states Bernard, co-instructor of this workshop. Jim Tolmach and Sabiha Mushtaba will be the other instructors available.

This class will teach you how to safely use power tools and which ones are most appropriate for a particular project. Participants are welcome to discuss a project they want to tackle but don’t know where to start. We will show you the different functions of battery or corded drills, as well as how to safely operate other tools like circular saws, chainsaws, sanders (belt or orbital) and more.

Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own to gain familiarity. Bernard is a beloved fixture on the Land Trust, donating so much time and energy to keep us up and running. Come join us to gain the confidence and knowledge needed to finally complete your “to do” list around the house!

You can pay directly via Venmo or PayPal through our LinkTree or pay cash day of, but please sign up in advance here. If the weather is inclement, we will meet inside the Gorilla Grill.
