Greenfield with Little Gazebo. This little meadow was formerly the back yard of founding Trustee and Nelms Ave. neighbor Richard Powers and his wife Joanne. The gazebo was originally built by Richard’s father during a visit from South Georgia. When the Land Trust purchased the back end of their Nelms Ave. lot, the gazebo had to be moved a few feet to make way for a new privacy fence. During fundraising festivals the Greenfield becomes a dining area and also hosts arts and craft vending booths. Notice the plaque in memory of Richard (who died in 2023) and his wife Joanne Young (who died in 2021), one of the original founding families.
