Amphitheater and Firepit features benches made of re-purposed granite curbstones, collected by Dan Salmond to replace the original ones made of reclaimed railroad ties. (What year??) This is the venue for the monthly Drum Circle, a tradition since 1990, currently held on the first Saturday of the month. The granite benches were purchased from the city in 2013 with a $1,000 grant from city councilperson Natalyn Archibong’s office obtained through Lake Claire Neighbors, which also covered the side wall of the amphitheater, picnic benches, and beautification from thru LCN. The fence was re-built with the proceeds of a performance by neighborhood band Webster. (May 2016 ????)
